BorgWarner EFR7163 .85 A/R T25 Turbo

Designed specifically for competitive racing use, the EFR 7163 is Borg Warner's newest addition to the EFR family. Latest generation compressors combined with state of the art 'Mixed-Flow Gamma-Ti Turbine Wheel' design allows for remarkable spool and huge powerbands. This unique turbocharger is literally an off-the-shelf Indycar turbocharger, used by all 2014/2015 IRL teams.

• Turbine outlet: GT-Vband (aka small 3" vband) ~92mm OD for all EFR turbos 
• Aluminum bearing housing torque capability is as good or better than cast iron. The same turbine housing clamp plate torque value of 17.6 +/- 1 Nm (as per the tech guide) should be applied to the turbine housing clamp plate bolts on both Aluminum and Iron turbos. Hitting this torque value on the Aluminum housing is especially important in order to avoid clamp plate embedment and localized fretting. 
• Aluminum water port plug torque value is 35 +/-4 Nm on the current 7163 (Aluminum), but is 40 +/-4 Nm on the other B1 housings, including both Iron and Aluminum.
